This effort is intended to explore ‘hidden pencak silat resources’ so that they will be beneficial for public.

3. Pencak Silat Documentation

The focus of this division is documenting studies/researches or work in the forms of written documents, photos, cassettes, video tapes, CD, pencak silat tools/equipment etc. Pencak silat practitioners have not used the advance of technology in electronic and print media optimally so far. Oral tradition in inheriting-process of pencak silat which generally occurs should be well-balanced by written one. It will be certainly and preciously strategic if we can start to file pencak silat archives in the forms of video tapes, books or audio visual CD.

Garis Paksi provides opportunities to pencak silat schools to cooperate in documenting their school life e.g. their history, philosophy, and any technique used in the schools. This is very useful or helpful to get written data on their school profiles for research data, at least for their members or pencak silat researchers.

This is intended to facilitate those who wish to communicate among themselves so that they will be able to expand their horizon, to lift narrow minded fanatism, to create mutual respects. In return, it will be expected to grow goodwill among them to develop pencak silat.
