Nice to know you.
No matter if you are aged 54 years, I have student older than you.
If you want to learn the various Indonesian Pencak Silat, especially from West Java, you can follow the training program in Garis Paksi.
Training material in GarisPaksi quite complete. All aspects of martial arts (self defense, sport, art dance, and spiritual) are taught to students. In Indonesia there are many various pencak silat styles, in Garis Paksi specially learning Sundanese Pencak Silat or West Javanese Pencak Silat such as Cimande, Sera (k), Cikalong, Sabandar, etc.
To studypencak silat in Garis Paksi the student must complete training in 17 levels. But with only learn 7 levels is more than enough.
If you can come directly to Indonesia, it would be better. Training costs $ 20/hour.
But if you can not come directly to Indonesia, you can follow the distance learning program. All procedures and requirements you can see on this website. We have many students in this program, but several students came directly to Indonesia from abroad.
Next year my studets from France, Belgium and Italy will come to Bandung, Indonesia on February – May.

i am 54 years old have some silat training but no complete system.It seems the silat instructors here in the U.S. are not willing to share there knowledge unless you have alot of money to spend.I do not know at my age if I would be able to do your system. Is it a good combat system of silat.And could you explain it more to me.I want to stay in a system of silat and learn the whole thing. also need priceing in U.S. dollars.If I can afford it. The jeetkunedofederation wants me to be the head of the silat part of are federation. Thankyou very much.
