07 New Distance Learning Program (began in January 2012)
We provide a precious opportunity to those living outside Indonesia and those who wish to learn and practice Pencak Silat of Garis Paksi without having face-to-face sessions with their trainer. Since this program is specifically designed only for those who live beyond Indonesian geographical areas, therefore we ‘train’ you through our videos.
Advantages of attending the program:
1. Training material is systematically designed so that it will be easily learned.
2. During the training, you are kindly pleased to consult the trainer by e-mails.
3. You can decide your own training schedule without any restrictions.
4. When you are convinced that you master the material provided, you can propose to have a promotion to a higher rank at anytime.
5. Send a video via e-mail which show us how you perform the material /techniques in your level.
Procedures Distance Learning Program:
There are 3 types of programs:
A. Pencak Silat Basic (Level 1 and Level 2)
B. Pencak Silat Self Defense (Level 3 to Level 7)
C. Pencak Silat Kembangan / range of Pencak Silat movements combined with traditional gamelan music (Level 3 to Level 7)
- To follow this program you must have an e-mail and a YouTube account.
- First of all, you have to fill the register form, buy Garis Paksi Uniform, and DVDs of training lesson for Level 1.

- Follow Pencak Silat Basic lessons in level 1 and 2.
- Each level is done once the evaluation.
- The instructions and explanations are sent each level via e-mail. If there are lessons that are not clear, you can ask me via e-mail too.
- You have to learn the material in one level with indefinitely. According to your ability.
- You can take exams to move up to the next level, at least 3 months since you register in this program.
- If you’ve mastered the material in that stage and ready for evaluation, send recorded video clips via e-mail to garispaksi@gmail.com include links to YouTube using a video Unlisted*) .
- We will evaluate them and correct any wrong show.
- If you passed the level, then you can proceed to the next level.
- After you pass the level 2, you can proceed to level 3 on Self Defense or Kembangan program.You can select one type of programs or choose both.
- You can follow two types of programs Self Defense and Kembangan at the same time.

B. Self Defense Program
Level 3:
Pencak Silat Punching Techniques (Pukulan/Peupeuhan) + Pencak Silat Traditional Style: Sera. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
Level 4:
Pencak Silat Kicking Techniques (Sepakan) + Pencak Silat Traditional Style: Cimande. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
Level 5:
Pencak Silat Locking and Breaking Techniques (Rikesan) + Pencak Silat Traditional Style: Silat Banten. Level 6:
Pencak Silat Falling/Throwing Techniques (Labuhan) + Pencak Silat Traditional Style: Cikalong. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
Level 7:
Pencak Silat Weapon Techniques (Gagaman) + Pencak Silat Traditional Style: Sabandar Kari Madi. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
C. Kembangan / Ibing Penca Program
Level 3:

Level 4:
Rythme and movement of Tepak Tilu and Padungdung. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, and certificate. Fee is $250/person + postage. If you register two or more person, then fee is $200/person + postage.
Level 5:
Rythme and movement of Tepak Dua, Tepak Paleredan, Tepak Tilu and Padungdung. DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
Level 6:
You will learn how to make a choreography in Ibing Rampak (dance in group). DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.
Level 7:
Kembangan with weapons (Ibing Gagaman). DVD’s of material lessons, instructions, consultation, correction, evaluation, certificate and belt. Fee is $225/person + postage. If you register two or more person,then fee is $175/person + postage.

What is an unlisted video?
An unlisted video is a different type of private video. Unlisted means that only people who know the link to the video can view it (such as friends or family to whom you send the link). An unlisted video will not appear in any of YouTube’s public spaces (such as search results, your channel, or the Browse page).
Even though your video will not appear in any of YouTube’s public spaces, links to the video could still appear elsewhere on the web if anyone who knows the video’s URL shares it. It is therefore up to you to maintain the privacy of your video and the unlisted URL.
How do I create an unlisted video?
You can choose to make any of your uploads an unlisted video in your YouTube Account settings. Here’s how:
- Sign into your YouTube Account
- Click on your account name located in the top right of any page. Click on My Videos from the expanded menu.
- Choose the video you want to edit and click the Edit button below the video thumbnail.
- Scroll down to the Broadcasting and Sharing Options and find the Privacy section.
- You’ll see the option to make the video Public, Unlisted, or Private.
- Select Unlisted. Make sure to click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
How do I share an unlisted video?
Once you’ve set your video as unlisted in your Account settings, you’re ready to share your video. In order to share your video, just send the video’s URL to the people with whom you’d like to have access to the video. They’ll then be able to view the video.
Who can access my unlisted video?
Initially, only the people with whom you share your unlisted video’s URL will have access to the video. That said, if one your contacts then shares the unlisted video URL on a blog / public website or with their friends, the video will be available and accessible to those people (and their friends) as well. Its therefore important to communicate to your contacts that you wish to maintain limited access to your unlisted video and that you only share the video with people you trust.
I’m unable to create an unlisted video. Why?
Only YouTube Accounts in good standing have access to create unlisted videos. If you don’t see the option to make your video unlisted in your Account settings, it could be that your YouTube Account is not in good standing and has a Terms of Service violation or a strike for copyright infringement.

- Sign into your Account
- Go to your Account settingspage.
- Click Manage Account
You’ll see different sections which list your Account status and whether your Account is in good standing, such as Account status: Community Guidelines and Account status: Copyright.
If you have an item pending against your account, you will not be able to create unlisted videos until this strike is resolved. Once your Account is in good standing with no listed strikes, you’ll gain access to creating unlisted videos
